2024 Chevy Silverado Engines & Performance

The Chevy Silverado 1500 has four engine options:

• 2.7L TurboMax I4

  • 310 horsepower / 430 lb.-ft. of torque.

• 5.3L EcoTec3 V8

  • 355 horsepower / 383 lb.-ft. of torque.

• 6.2L EcoTech V8

  • 420 horsepower / 460 lb.-ft. of torque.

• 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel engine

  • 305 horsepower / 495 lb.-ft. of torque.

The 2.7L TurboMax engine is paired with an eight-speed transmission, while the remaining engines get a 10-speed. Depending on the engine you choose, its towing capacity ranges from 9,500 pounds to 13,300 pounds.

Interior & Tech Features

The interior of the Silverado is designed with convenience in mind. The WT (work truck) and Custom trims come with a 3.5-inch driver information center and the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with a 7-inch touchscreen. The higher trims come with a 12.3-inch digital driver information center, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, Google built-in, and SiriusXM® with 360L.

The all-new Silverado 1500 seats up to five and has a 4-way manual driver and front passenger seat. The rear seating is a 60/40 split-folding bench, allowing for more flexibility.

• 13.4-inch Diagonal Infotainment Touchscreen (largest in its segment!)

• 12.3-inch inch Driver Information Center

• Head up display 

• Redesigned wireless phone charger

Exterior Design

The 2024 Silverado has 17-inch all-season blackwall tires and ultra silver painted steel wheels.

It’s equipped with an ultra-functional roll-formed high-strength steel Durabed that provides up to 89.1 cubic feet of space. Twelve tiedowns come standard, and a power up/down tailgate functionality is available for even easier loading and unloading. 

Other exterior features include: 

• Redesigned front fascia and grille 

• New animated headlamps and taillamps 

• Dual function lighting

• New standard tow hooks

• Distinctive CHEVROLET lettering on the hood scoop 

• 83.5 cubic foot box storage space, the largest in its class

• CornerStep rear bumper
