The completely redesigned 2024 Chevrolet Traverse was unveiled today, and all I can say is WOW! 
The updated exterior is much more rugged and aggressive featuring LED headlights and taillights, a larger, updated grill, and much more over the 4 (LS, LT, RS, and Z71) trim packages.
Moving into the interior, it has also gone through an overhaul. Each 2024 Traverse comes standard with a 17.7 inch touchscreen, an 11 inch gauge cluster, and 6 USB ports with other features available.
New for 2024, Chevrolet has dropped the N/A 3.6L V6 for an 2.5L 4 cylinder turbo that pushes an impressive 315 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. Chevy has paired this new engine to an 8 speed automatic transmission, and also offers the Traverse in FWD and AWD. Chevy has rated this powertrain for up-to 5,000 pounds towing capacity depending on the configuration.
For the first time EVER, Chevy has added the Z71 package as an option for the Traverse which features a twin-clutch, all-wheel drive system specific for off-roading. The Z71 will be taller, wider, and all-around more aggressive with many trim-specific features.
As for safety features, each 2024 Traverse will come standard with lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warning. Each Traverse also features Chevrolet’s new “Buckle to Drive” feature. There are many other safety options and features that can be added including GM’s “Super Cruise”, traffic sign recognition and so much more.
Production is planned to start later this year at GM’s Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan, and sales will start in early 2024.
